The Power of Consistency with Leah Selfe

The Power of Consistency with Leah Selfe

Have you ever found yourself overwhelmed by a seemingly never-ending to-do list?
You're not alone.

As a busy mum running a business, I know the struggles of trying to do it all at once. But here's the secret to being truly productive: it's all about consistency.

I'll be the first to admit that I wasn't always a productivity guru. It took time, practice, and a few lessons along the way to get where I am today.

And guess what?
The same applies to you.

Productivity isn't about overnight transformations; it's about making small, consistent efforts that add up over time.

Kickstart your journey to greater productivity with a simple yet powerful exercise that you can incorporate into your Sunday evening routine. By doing this consistently, you'll be amazed at the results you can achieve.

Step 1: The Sunday Evening Brain Dump

Take 15 minutes of your precious Sunday evening, a time when you can reflect and plan, and do a brain dump. Grab a piece of paper and jot down every single thing you want to accomplish in the upcoming week. It doesn't matter how big or small the task is; if it's going on your to-do list this week, put it on paper.

Step 2: Allocate Task Duration

Now, beside each task, estimate how long you think it will take to complete. This doesn't have to be precise, but having a rough idea will help you later in the process. ANd be realistic, if it takes you an hour and half to get your nails done write it down. You can’t find time you never had.

Step 3: Strategic Scheduling

Here comes the strategic part!
Take your list of tasks and start placing them on your weekly calendar. Consider deadlines, priorities, and your own availability. Keep in mind that you realistically only have about 4-5 hours of truly productive time each day. It's essential to use these hours wisely.

Remember, there's no one-size-fits-all approach to productivity. How you allocate your productive hours depends on your unique circumstances and business requirements.

The key takeaway here is consistency.

Productivity isn't about cramming everything into the first few days of the week, leaving you exhausted and playing catch-up for the rest of it. Instead, it's about consistently practicing effective time management, setting realistic goals, and prioritising tasks.

Productivity might not seem sexy, but trust me you will fall in love with it (eventually 😂)!

Becoming more productive is a journey that requires commitment and practice.

By consistently applying these simple strategies and making them a part of your routine, you'll find that productivity becomes a habit, and your to-do list becomes more manageable than ever.

Start your journey to a more productive you this Sunday evening. You've got this!
