The biggest thing stopping you...
Could be your own thoughts.
Do any of these sound familiar?
“I’m not smart enough”
“I’m not good enough”
“Something’s wrong with me”
Negative thoughts are a problem.
They affect the choices you make, the relationships you have, and how you perceive your life.
The toxic way I thought about myself, believing I was unworthy, unlovable, not smart enough
Meant I attracted people who echoed these painful thoughts back to me, reinforcing a pattern of self-doubt and loathing.
But the moment of change? Was when I slowed down enough to truly HEAR the harsh thoughts in my mind.
I saw the garbage, the unwanted weeds planted by society, culture, and my own fears.
This awareness? It’s POWER.
Understanding that I had internalized these negative voices allowed me to begin the work of changing them.
Becoming aware of my own self-sabotage, my 'yes' when it should have been a ‘no’, my people pleasing, allowed me to take control.
How to become aware:
- Slow down
- Check in.
- How are you feeling?
- Journal it.
Challenge your thoughts. When you catch yourself thinking negatively, ask; is this really true?
Remove the weeds in your mind. Identify the origin of these thoughts. Are they yours or were they implanted by society, family or culture?
Make the change: Awareness gives you the power to choose differently. You can’t change what you can’t see. Awareness is the first step. It's not about instant fixing. It's about awareness. Awareness gives you the power to choose differently, to THINK differently.
